Obama CANCELS meeting with Filipino President Duterte after he called him a 'son of a bitch' and warned him not to question his war on drugs which has claimed 2,400 lives
President Obama has canceled a meeting with Rodrigo Duterte, the hardline president of the Philippines after he called him a 'son of a bitch'.
Duterte, dubbed 'The Punisher' had earlier warned Obama not to ask about extrajudicial killings during a planned meeting in Laos or 'I will swear at you'.
Obama had indicated earlier that he was going to bring the issue up, saying he would address the need to approach the drug trafficking war in a 'way that is consistent with basic international norms'.
But Duterte warned that he is a leader of a sovereign country and is answerable only to the Filipino people.
'Who is he to confront me?' he said, adding that the Philippines had not received an apology for misdeeds committed during its U.S. colonization.
'I am a president of a sovereign state and we have long ceased to be a colony. I do not have any master except the Filipino people, nobody but nobody.
'You must be respectful. Do not just throw questions. Putang ina I will swear at you in that forum,' he said, using the Tagalog phrase for son of a bitch.

Considering all of the deaths Hillary Clinton is responsible for, one would think Hussein Obama would be looking in his own back yard first if he wants to confront a murderer.

It is their country. I cannot imagine Obozo having any interest in this. He has not lifted a finger to stop the ISIS who are as bad as any drug dealer with the atrocities they have inflicted on innocent people.

The west needs to concentrate on their own affairs and leave other countries to theirs. Not all countries want to approach or should have to approach problems in the same way the US does. We spend far too much resources and time monitoring what other countries do. Until your own house is perfect don't tell others how to take care of theirs.

The West doesn't want to admit that Duterte is using the only fix that can fix their problem. Singapore doesn't have a drug or crime problem either and if that is what it takes, then so be it.

Other countries, other laws. If Saddam Hussein was still alive, he would have spared us ISIS. PS: This power imbued President of the Philippines should first tackle pedophile and prostitution of minors.

We need to do this in the US to stop heroin, crack, and meth dealers.

With the murder and crime rates in the is country, Obama has no business trying to tell anyone else how to run their country. Since taking office in June the Philippines crime rate has dropped by almost 50%. In the US, drug crime is out of control. Users and dealers get a slap on the wrist if caught, and if they go to jail some crap cable network will turn their lives into a reality show. Our system is a complete joke.

Alexei, although crime rates have been declining in America, crime has been increasing. The phenomenon is occurring because many people don't even bother calling the police and making a report anymore, or the police themselves don't take the report, or a would be victim displays a weapon, deters a crime, and doesn't call the police for lack of confidence in the justice system. Many Americans are becoming more "tolerant" of crime, and it shows up as a drop in reported crime statistics.
